This medicine can be prepared by one of the two well-known methods, one is cold pressing the castor seeds for it to release oil and then dehusking the released liquid to produce the castor oil and the second method is to deep fry the castor seeds in some other carrying oil like sesame or coconut oil and the waiting for the castor seeds to release their essence into the carrying oil.

Dabur’s Erand oil is made from the first method where the workers cold press the seed to release its oil.
