Gugulu tiktakam Ghrutam is an ayurvedic preparation of a medicated ghritam used primarily by many doctors for preparing a patient up for the panchkarma by doing their snehan karma.

Is Beneficial in Snehan Karma
When advised panchakarma, a process is done in the body where the purpose of the treatment is to make every pore, every channel in the body oiled enough that the dosha which has collected at one point can move easily from that place to the central strotas or mahastrotas or the gut, then here we give the patient an emetic or a purgative to make them remove this dosha from their body properly and completely. This is often prescribed along with the standard ghrita form for its further fortification.

It is Usable for a Fever
When the fever gets uncontrollable and is not easing through conventional means then the higher measures come here, and the problem is then taken care of at the root of the issue by calming the system-wide vaata and pitta.

Most likely due to the medha properties of the ghee, tikta property of the involved herbs making the ghee more vyavahi and hence letting the ghrita enter the sukshma strotases of the brain eventually reducing the episodes. Milk being a medhya is also to some degree responsible for the said benefit, then again the ingredients being used are also balya(strength providers) so they will help with the situation by strengthening the area weakened due to the vishamta of doshas.
