    Vaidyaratnam Balarishtam is one of the most commonly prescribed Ayurvedic aqueous composition comprising 5 to 10% self-generated alcohol. It has Bala (Sida cordifolia) as one of the main ingredients which are a potent remedy for Vataj disorders.

    Properties and Uses:

    It is useful in Vataj Roga, Mandagni and Daurbalya.

    It is indicated in various Nervine and Rheumatic disorders.

     

    Dosage and Anupan:

    It should be taken in a dose not more than 2-4 tsp (15-30 ml) at a time, along with an equal quantity of water.

     

    Side Effects:

    A single dosage of more than 50 ml causes gastrointestinal disturbances and diarrhea.

     

    Shelf Life:

    10 years. A bottle should be emptied within 90 months of opening.
