Vaidyaratnam Saraswatarishtam is herbal self-fermented medicine that forms Brahmi, Shatavari, Dhataki Pushpa, and many other drugs. Preparation of Vaidyaratnam Saraswatarishtam
Firstly you take brahmi shatavari Dhataki pushpa ashwagandha add the coarse powder to water and then boil the water to extract the essence of these dravyas (or rather plants) into the water. Once the water is reduced to a quarter of its original quantity, you have a kwath of kwath dravyas.

Now you take this kwath, put it into the fermenter and then add gud (jaggery) to it. Then you make a fine powder of Trivrit, Dhanyak, Dhataki, Cavya, Madhurika, and Sunthi and add that to it. You then close the fermenter and let the fermentation happen for around a month. Now, once the fermentation has happened.

Saraswatarishtam is a digestive stimulant when made into an arishta with strong supportive dravyas to strengthen its action, we get a concoction that helps in well digestion of food, helps in proper cleaning of the stomach through loosening the stools, and being arishta is a mild diuretic and is hence good for the kidneys too.

If consumed in excess it can even cause nausea and vomiting, which might disrupt your periods.

Vaidyaratnam Saraswatarishtam Dosage

• It is recommended to take 10-15 ml twice a day after meals in the morning and evening.

• In children: 3 – 6 ml

• In adults: 10 - 20 ml

• This medicine is usually advised after food. If needed it can be taken with the same amount of water. It is advised to drink a cup of milk after taking this medicine.

Although there are texts in Ayurveda that say that arishtas have their efficacy increase over time to maximize the safety of our consumers we have established a shelf life of 10 years.
