Kottakkal Kantasinduram (7) Capsule: It helps to form Prashastha Rakta Dhatu, increases Rakta Peshi, Pandu nashaka, and helps in Rakta Prasadan. It also has Hridayam Karya.
Kottakkal Kantasinduram (7) is an Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal. It is a Kupipakwa Rasayana as Kottakkal Kantasinduram (7) is obtained by the Kupipakwa method.
Suchikantam or Purified Iron, Kumari or Aloe Vera, and Gomutram or Cow’s urine are the three main ingredients used to prepare Kantasinduram. Suchikantam or Purified Iron is processed or given Bhavana of Aloe vera or Kumari Swarasa and Gomutram or Cow’s urine seven times hence it is known as Kantasinduram (7), if it is processed fourteen times then it is called Kantasinduram (14).
Suchikantam or Purified Iron is used as Rasayanam and Vajikarana, It’s Gamitava is mainly towards Rasa and Rakta Dhatu, it helps to form Prashastha Rakta Dhatu, increases Rakta Peshi, Pandu nashaka, and helps in Rakta Prasadan. It also has Hridayam Karya.
Kumari or Aloe Vera have Tikta Rasa, Sheeta Virya, and Katu Vipaka and have Guru, Snigdha, and Pichhila Guna. Kumari have Netrya, Brimhana, Rasayan, Balya, Shonitasthapan, Vata and Vish vikarnasaka, Bhedaniya Karya. Gomutram or Cow’s urine is Tikshna, Ushna, Vata Kaphaghna, Deepaniya, Aama Pachak etc.
Kottakkal Kantasinduram (7) can be indicated in Pandu, Kashtartava, Rakta Kshaya, Udar shoola, Krumi, Gulma, Grahani, Dourbalya, Dhatvagni Mandya, Artava Vikara, etc. As it contains Suchikantam, Kumari it can be used in Pandu Vyadhi.
Gamitava of Kottakkal Kantasinduram (7) Capsule is towards Rasa and Rakta Dhatu hence can be indicated in Rasa and Rakta Pradoshaja Vikara, Rakta Kshaya, Artava Vikara, Kashtartava, etc. Due to Tikta Kashaya Rasa it can be used in Krumi.
It helps to increase Bala thus decreasing Dourbalya. Kalpa works on Jataragni and Dhatvagni, helping to reduce Jataragni Mandya and Dhatvagni mandya thus helping to produce Prashastha Sapta Dhatu. It should be avoided in patients having Iron supplements as this medicine contains Suchikantam or Purified Iron.
