Kottakkal Gandhakaraja  Rasayanam is an Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal. It is prepared by the method described in Yogaratnakar Rasayanadhikara. As the name suggests it acts as a Rasayana hence it is Tridosha Shamaka hence helps to eliminate vitiated Doshas from the body.

Kottakkal Gandhakaraja Rasayanam acts on Tridosha specifically Pitta Dosha, Rasa dhatu, Rakta dhatu, Mamsa dhatu, Shukra dhatu etc. It helps to increase Jataragni and Dhatvagni, thus reducing Aama Sanchiti in the body and dealing with Jataragni Mandya, Dhatvagni Mandya, Dhatudourbalya etc.

It has Ojha Vardhak properties. Due to all this karma, it is Veeryakara, Pushtikara, Vahnikara etc. As per Yogaratnakar Rasayanadhikara Kottakkal Gandhakaraja Rasayanam can be indicated in various Vyadhi like Dhatu Kshayaja Roga, Kushta, Shiro roga, Visha, Atisara, Grahani, Raktadosha, Hrutshoola, Jeernajwara, Prameha, Vatavyadhi etc.

It has Prajakara and Kesha Krushnakara Karma.It can be safely prescribed to all age groups, but extra precautions have to be taken as it contains Shuddha Gandhaka or Purified Sulphur hence should be avoided in patients with Sulpha Drug Allergy.

Gandhakaraja Rasayanam can be used in various Skin Diseases or Kustha Roga as it contains Shuddha Gandhaka, Guduchi, and Triphala which help to reduce Kleda in the body and thus can act as Kledaghan, Kushthaghna, Raktaprasadan, Kandughana, Rasayanam; it reduces symptoms associated with vitiated Pitta Dosha and Rakta Dhatu and avoid its recurrence.
