Kairali Abhayarishtam is a potent Ayurvedic composition comprised of constituents like Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) which undergoes fermentation in about three months. The 6 to 12% of self-generated alcohol which is consequently produced, aids in the dissolution of active principles of herbs into the aqueous media.
Properties and Uses:
Cardioprotective, Controls hypertension, Improves lungs function, Used in cough and throat related diseases, Effective in controlling internal bleeding in Raktapradar and Raktatisara.
Dosage and Anupan:
Should be taken after meals in a dose of 15-30 ml mixed with an equal quantity of lukewarm water.
Side Effects:
Although side effects are not common but should be taken under a physician’s supervision.
Jaggery in it may increase blood sugar levels in diabetics.
Shelf Life:
10 years. Bottle once opened, should be consumed within 45 to 60 days.
