Dhootapapeshwar Shweta Parpati: It helps in balancing Vata and Pitta Dosha. Kalami Shora and Sphatika contribute potassium ions which act as an alkalizer in dysuria.

Dhootapapeshwar Shweta Parpati is a unique ayurvedic tablet formulation that consists of only  'kshara' (alkaline) drugs as ingredients. It is a Parpati kalpana (flaky preparation), which is white in color and is a powdery Ayurvedic formulation.

For easy administration, it is made into a tablet form. Due to the 'kshara' or alkaline nature, it is also called Sheetal Parpati, Kshar Parpati, and Vajra Kshar. Unlike other Parpati kalpanas It is a Kajjali Rahita(devoid of black sulphide of mercury) preparation.

Shweta parpati mainly acts on the Mutravaha srotas (Urinary tract). This drug acts as one of the "Trimarmas" ie.Basti(Urinary bladder). According to Ayurveda, when Vata moves to Trimarmas, Prana gets trapped and it leads to emergency situations. Shweta parpati acts mainly on Basti(urinary bladder) and helps in relieving emergency situations.

It has unique features like diuretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and urinary supportive action which accelerate blood flow to the kidneys, promoting their functionality and increasing urine output.

These salts and their alkaline pH prevents bacterial growth within the Urinary tract, thus it has curative effects on mutrashmari (urinary calculus) mutrakrichra (difficulty in urination) It helps in balancing Vata and Pitta Dosha. Kalami Shora and Sphatika contribute potassium ions which act as an alkalizer in dysuria.

Even though Shweta Parpati is a diuretic it does not cause potassium depletion like other diuretics. Since, all three constituents of Shweta Parpati are diuretics i.e. mutrala, it is, therefore, very effective against urinary calculi and other urinary disorders. Antibiotics are the standard treatment for Urinary tract infections, However, due to the frequent consumption of antibiotics certain bacterial strains become resistant.

In this condition, Rasa dravyas had shown significant results. Hence the need for an Ayurvedic Rasa preparation is essential. The easy method of preparation and very small dosage add to the benefits of this formulation. Ingredients are also easily available and are more economical than allopathic Antibiotics.

The main attraction of rasa Kalpana is that they have better therapeutic efficiency and faster action than herbal formulations. Also, it is very much palatable to each and every person and requires only a low dose.
