Rasa Parpati is a unique Ayurvedic flaky preparation where purified Parada(mercury) and Gandhaka (Sulphur) are triturated together to form a special preparation called Kajjali(black sulfide of mercury). It is then melted and poured onto a banana leaf smeared with ghee and placed on a cow dung platform.
It is then covered with another banana leaf and pressed with a flat plate, and cooled and collected in a jar. This preparation helps to reduce inflammation of the colon, so it is used in all types of abdominal disorders such as ulcerative colitis and other Gastrointestinal disorders. It also helps in reducing the frequency of bowel activities in Diarrhoea.
