Dhootapapeshwar Kanakasava: It is used in tuberculosis & thoracic injuries. Although it has Dhatura, yet it is safe enough to use in limited amounts after meals twice a day.
Kanakasava is an Ayurvedic bronchodilator, anti inflammatory & analgesic medicine. It is a fermented liquid medicine with only 5-10% alcohol , containing Dhatura, mentioned in the historic drug manufacture guide “Bhaishjya Ratnawali” for respiratory diseases, hemorrhagic diseases & chronic fever.
Dhatura is present in very small amount of 7.2 gm in 450ml, which is effective enough to act upon the doshas & not harmful to anyone including children & pregnant women. It is made via fermentation & includes over 11 medicines.
It increases the manages anorexia, chronic cough, asthma, upper respiratory track congestions, chronic fevers & hemorrhagic diseases. It is also used in tuberculosis & thoracic injuries. Although it has Dhatura, it is safe enough to use in limited amounts after meals twice a day.
