Properties and uses:

 

1. Nikhilaan Shwaasaan – useful in wide variety of respiratory diseases – asthma, bronchitis etc.
2. Kasa – useful in cold, cough
3. Yakshma – useful in tuberculosis
4. Kshataksheena – useful in emaciated people, useful in post injury care, useful in weight gaining therapy
5. Jeerna Jvara – useful in recuperation treatment after chronic fever
6. Raktapitta – useful in bleeding disorders such as nasal bleeding
7. Urakshata – useful in chest injury

 

Dosages and Anupan:

3-4 tb spoon with equal amount of water 1 or 2 times a day, usually after food.

 

Side Effects:

1.A very high dosage than the prescribed may cause stomach irritation and loose stools.

2.If taken in very high dosage, it may result in side effects datura poisoning.

 

Self life:

10 years. Once after opening the bottle, it should be consume within 2 months.
