Sweta Jirak is used in improving digestion and detoxifying the body. Jeerakadharishta is a suitable Ayurvedic medicine after delivery, Improve the strength of the mother.
It is mainly used for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diarrhea, poor appetite, phthisis, postpartum fever, postpartum debility, acid peptic disorders, etc. It acts on the digestive system and improves the digestive capacity and reduces the digestive disorders also reduces gas formation, flatulence, bloating, excessive thirst, loose stools, and mucus content in the stool and beneficial in some skin diseases characterized by itching, boils, and spots.
Ingredients:
Sweta Jirak (Cumin seeds – Cuminum cyminum)
Jaggery
Water for decoction
Dhataki – Woodfordia fruticosa – Flower
Sunthi (Dry Ginger)
Jayphala (Nutmeg)
Musta/Nagarmotha (Cyperus rotundus)
Ela (Cardamom)
Tej Patra – Cinnamomum tamala
Dalchini (Cinnamon)
Nagakeshara – (Mesua ferrea)
Yavani – (Trachyspermum ammi)
Kankola – (Piper cubeba)
Lavang (Clove)
Benefits and Uses:
Sweta Jirak are used in improving digestion and detoxifying the body Jeerakadharishta is a suitable Ayurvedic medicine after delivery, Improve strength of the mother, after delivery. Provides normal involution of uterus, promotes lactation and immunity of the mother. Because most of the herbs used in Jeerakadharishta are hot in nature, it also keeps mother away from cold and infections. It boosts immunity.
Apart from these benefits, Jeerakadharishta is also used in the treatment of frequent passing of stools, diarrhea, indigestion etc. It helps to improve digestion power, according to ayurveda it is benifical in Sootika Rog, Grahani, Atisara , Agnimandhya
Dosage and Anupan:
10 – 25 ml one or two times a day with equal quantity of water, usually advised after food.
Side effects:
No known side effects exist for this product. It contains Jaggery hence it may increase blood sugar levels in diabetes. However, very high dose than prescribed may cause burning sensation in stomach.
Shelf life: 10 years. Once after opening the bottle, it is better to empty it within 2 months
