Dhootapapeshwar Rasamanikya is a special ayurvedic mineral preparation with haratala and abhrak as the ingredients. It is used commonly in Ayurveda for a wide range of therapeutic purposes. As this formulation resembles that of Manikya(Ruby red) in color it is termed Rasamanikya.

This formulation is prepared by placing small pieces of haratala on an abhrak sheet and covered by another sheet of abhrak. This abhrak samputa containing haratala is kept on moderate fire. When haratala is melted and the color is also changed into Manikya(Ruby red) color it is taken out of samputa.

It is recommended for the management of Kustha (Skin disorders), Shwasa(bronchial asthma), Phiranga Roga(Syphilis), Vicharchika(Skin disorder), Bhagandara(fistula), and Vatarakta(gout), cellulitis, sinus ulcers, ENT disorders, chronic ulcers, Cough, bronchial asthma, chest congestion, Fever of different origin, Rheumatic fever, etc.

The classical descriptions of Rasamanikya suggest that it is used in the treatment of fever due to Vata and Kapha Dosha Vitiation. It is also helpful in removing excessive phlegm and toxins from the body. It cures diseases like ringworm, scabies, psoriasis, urticaria, etc. Rasamanikya helps in breaking the immunological adversity that can trigger skin manifestation.

It relieves the pain, inflammation, and swelling occurring in skin diseases. The antimicrobial property resists skin infection, and the metallic components enhance the color, complexion, and integrity of the skin, thus it is an excellent formulation for all skin disorders.

This formulation imparts calming and soothing effects thus helping in reducing the pain, itching, and burning sensation related to skin problems. It reduces the damage caused by sunburn, restores energies, and curbs all sorts of blood morbidities.

The immunosuppressant action gives benefits in autoimmune skin diseases such as Systemic  Lupus  Erythematosus etc. The presence of metallic compounds helps in initiating re-pigmentation which has been lost secondary to skin diseases.
