Shuddha Abhraka, 100 Grams of Purified Mica
To make Abhrak bhasma, plant juices, liquid extracts, and decoctions are employed.

    Procedure for Preparation

    • It is processed using a calcination method. In Ayurveda, the process of calcination is called PUTA. The quantity of PUTA determines the Abhrak Bhasma's quality.

    • In this procedure, purified abhraka or Mica is triturated with various herbal decoctions and juice extracts before being formed into a disc-shaped cak and heated to a high temperature (800–900°C). This procedure is repeated 100 times, after which the cak is allowed to dry in the sun.  The finished result will be a very fine powder.
