It is used in the treatment of Splenomegaly or Spleen-related Disorders, Hepatomegaly or Hepatic Disorders, Abdominal Disorders, Ascites, Piles, Sprue, Dermatosis, etc.
Abhayarishtam is one of the potent liquid Ayurvedic formulations which is named after Abhaya (Terminalia chebula) which is one of its main ingredients. It contains 3 to 5% of alcohol which is generated naturally within a span of 3 months of fermentation.
Properties and Uses:
It is used in the treatment of Splenomegaly or Spleen-related Disorders, Hepatomegaly or Hepatic Disorders, Abdominal Disorders, Ascites, Piles, Sprue, Dermatosis, etc.
Dosage and Anupan:
Children – 5 to 10 ml
Adults – 20 to 40 ml
Older Adults – 20 ml
To be taken after meals in divided doses with an equal quantity of water and the maximum dose should not exceed more than 60 ml.
Side Effects:
Should not be taken empty stomach and not more than 40 ml at a time as it may induce loose bowels. This product should not be used in a person experiencing loose bowels or diarrhea.
Shelf Life:
10 years. Empty the bottle within three months of opening.
