Kottakkal Aragwadharishtam is an Ayurvedic proprietary preparation based on the classical reference of Aragwadhadi Gana from Ashtanga Hridaya. It is a fermented liquid and contains about 5 to 7% self-generated alcohol which aids in the dissolution of active constituents of the herbs like Aragwadha (Cassia fistula).

Properties and Uses:

Balances Tridoshas, especially Pitta Dosha.

It is a mild laxative and improves digestion.

It is a blood purifier and used in various skin conditions like Eczema, Psoriasis, Allergic dermatitis, Ulcer, External wounds, and Ulcers.

Effective in Haemorrhoids and Intestinal worm infestation.

Dosage and Anupan:

Adults – 15-25 ml twice a day mixed with an equal quantity of water.

Children – 5-10 ml twice a day mixed with an equal quantity of water.

Side Effects:

It can be taken for a longer duration under the physician’s guidance although overdosage may cause gastric irritation.

Shelf Life:

Shelf life is 10 years. Better to consume the bottle within 90 days of opening the bottle
