Baidyanath Nagpur Anand Bhairav Ras (Kas) is an Ayurvedic Ras Aushadhi. In Ayurveda, mercury is referred to as "Rasa," and medicines crafted using purified mercury, purified Sulphur, bhasma, etc., fall under the category of Ras aushadhi, which are preparations involving mercury. Mercury, known as "Para," "Parad," or "Rasa" in Ayurveda, maintains a liquid state at room temperature. It is employed in Ayurveda only after undergoing meticulous detoxification in accordance with classical Ayurvedic texts. Parad finds its application in various medicinal formulations due to its potent therapeutic properties. It helps balance Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, the three doshas in Ayurveda. Ras aushadhi, which encompass mercury (Parad), are characterized by their rapid effects.
