Kottakkal Rasasinduram Capsule is an Ayurvedic Classical Medicine manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal. It is described in Rasatarangini. Sutam or Mercury, Gandhak or Sulphur, and Kumari or Aloe Vera are the Dravyas used in making Kottakkal Rasasinduram Capsule.

It is a Herbo mineral formulation and Rasayana prepared by the Kupipakwa method hence called Kupipakwa Rasayana. Rasasinduram is a Rasayana having Ushna Virya. It helps to increase Rakta Gati, gives Bala to Rakta Dhatu, eliminates Rakta Dushti thus acts as a Rakta Shodhak,  gives Bala to Hridaya thus acts as a Hridayam.

It is mainly indicated in Kapha Vikara due to its Tikshna and Ushna Guna, it should be avoided in Pittaj Vikara, Pitta Prakurti, or where there is Pitta anubandha if used it should be advised with Sheeta Virya Dravyas to compensate its Tikshna and Ushna Virya and it is contraindicated in Garbhavati and Sutika as it contains Parada and Gandhak.

It mainly acts on Rasa, Rakta, Mamsa and Shwasana Indriya. Its Gamitava is mainly on Shwasan Sansthan and hence can be indicated in Pneumonia, Bronchiectasis, Kaphaj Kasa,  Influenza, Shwasa, foul smelling Kapha, Greenish yellow Cough, Rajayakshma, etc.

Due to its Uttejak Prabhava, it helps to remove Dushit Kapha which is stuck in the walls of the alveoli. It works on Rasa, and Rakta Dhatu thus can be indicated in Pandu Vyadhi. Rasasinduram give Bala to Phuphphusaḥ and Shwasana Sansthan.

It helps to improve Vyadhi Shamatva. It can be indicated in Dushta Vrana, Arbuda, Bhagandara, etc due to its Rakta Shodhak Karya it also possesses antimicrobial, antiulcerogenic, antiviral, and anti-bacterial activity.
